A New Season for the Journal of Adolescent Health

Three of our associate editors are stepping down this month. Dr. Pierre-André Michaud, Dr. Don Orr, and Dr. Freya Sonnenstein joined the Journal of Adolescent health's masthead at the outset of Dr. Irwin's editorship in 2004. All three editors were instrumental in shaping the Journal's processes and priorities over the past decade. Each played a key role in defining the Journal, as it exists today. We are grateful for the collaboration and fellowship that we have shared with Drs. Michaud, Orr, and Sonnenstein.
And although we—and the Journal's readership—will greatly miss our colleagues' contributions, they have left fertile ground for a new crop of associate editors. Joining our masthead as associate editor for international health is Dr. David Anthony Ross, Medical Officer at the maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health department of the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. Coming on as associate editor for health sciences is Dr. Carol Ann Ford. Dr. Ford is professor of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. And, assuming duties as an associate editor for public health and policy is Dr. Carolyn T. Halpern, Professor and Chair of the Department of Maternal and Child Health at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Please join us in welcoming Drs. Ross, Ford, and Halpern. We are excited to imagine what fruit the coming seasons will bring with their guidance.
